We offer tutoring for
many subjects (except Math and
Writing) that are offered at Highline Community College. This assistance is
available to any student currently enrolled at Highline Community College.
The mission of the HCC Tutoring Center is to provide academic
support to all students enrolled at Highline Community College. Our
primary goal is to create an open atmosphere of learning for
students. We assist students in numerous academic disciplines
through a variety of tutoring techniques by addressing their
individual needs in a constructive environment. A part of our
mission is to work closely with our faculty, as well as other
offices that support student services.
All tutors are required to participate in ongoing training. The
goal of our tutor training program is to help tutors to promote
student independence, active learning, and motivation.
We offer drop-in, one-on-one or group tutoring for different subjects.
All tutored subjects are scheduled at specific times
throughout the week. Depending on the subject, tutoring is drop-in, one-on-one
or group tutoring. If you need a tutor and would like to know what
time one is scheduled, check the subject on this web site or come in
to the Tutoring Center in bldg 26-319. If we are not currently
offering tutoring in a subject that you
seek help in, make your request known by telling the staff at the front desk of
the Tutoring Center or by
