Welcome to the Tutoring Center!

Spring Quarter Tutoring Now Open

We offer tutoring for many subjects, except for Math and Writing. Assistance is available free of charge to any student currently enrolled at Highline College.
The Tutoring Center provides academic support in an open atmosphere of learning. We assist students in numerous academic disciplines through a variety of tutoring techniques by addressing each student’s individual needs in a constructive and supportive environment. We work closely with our faculty, as well as other offices, that support student services.

How it Works

All tutored subjects are scheduled at specific times throughout the week. Online tutoring is by appointment only and in-person tutoring is drop-in, first come – first served, in the Tutoring Center (library, 6th floor). If you need a tutor and would like to know what time one is scheduled, check the tutoring schedules.

E-Tutoring Resource

Highline College students also have access to the Western e-Tutoring Consortium as another online tutoring resource that is available 7 days a week. You can find more information about how to access the Western e-Tutoring Consortium on our eTutoring webpage. Tutoring through the Western e-Tutoring Consortium is FREE!

Students needing accommodations for tutoring should contact Access Services so we can make arrangements to best support your academic needs.

The Tutoring Center is open on campus for tutoring, computer use and study spaces. Tutoring services are offered Both online via Zoom and in-person. Please check the tutoring schedules for subject and tutor availability.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Highline College Tutoring Center is to provide academic support to all students enrolled at Highline College and to facilitate their growth into becoming life-long learners. Our primary goal is to create an open atmosphere of learning for students. We assist students in numerous academic disciplines through a variety of tutoring techniques by addressing their individual needs in a constructive environment. A part of our mission is to work closely with our faculty, as well as other offices, that support student services.
